Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing watch for a while now. I mean, it’s a beauty, right? But, you know, these things don’t come cheap. Finally, I decided to go for it. I’d saved up a bit, and I figured, why not treat myself?
Started with Some Research
First, I hit up a few watch forums and blogs. Just wanted to see what other people were saying about it. Most folks seemed to love it, but there were a few complaints about the price, naturally. I compared it to some other Speedmasters, and honestly, it just stood out to me. That spiral dial is something else.
Finding a Dealer
Next, I needed to find a place to buy it. I checked out the OMEGA website, you know, just to get an idea of the official price. Then I started looking at authorized dealers. I found a couple of local jewelry stores that carried OMEGA, so I decided to go in person. It’s always nice to see these things in the flesh, you know?
Tried it On
At the first store, they had the watch! I asked to try it on, and man, it felt even better than I expected. The weight was perfect, and it just looked amazing on my wrist. The salesperson was pretty knowledgeable, answered all my questions. But the price was a bit higher than I’d hoped. I thanked them and said I’d think about it.
Checked Another Store
I headed over to the second store. They had it too, thankfully. This time, I was ready to haggle a little. I talked to the salesperson, told him I’d seen it elsewhere, and we went back and forth a bit on the price. He called the manager, and they eventually knocked off a little bit. Still pricey, but better.
Made the Purchase
After much thought, I decided to pull the trigger. I paid for it then and there. They sized the bracelet for me, and I walked out of the store with my new Speedmaster Super Racing!
Loving It So Far
I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I’m totally in love. It’s such a cool watch, and it definitely gets noticed. Took some time to get the Chronograph just right, but now it is. Honestly, it was a bit of a splurge, but I don’t regret it one bit. It’s a keeper!
