Okay, so I’ve been wanting to remake a Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227J-001, the original order, for a while now. I finally got around to doing it, and let me tell you, it was a journey!
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find a good manufacturer. I did some digging around and found this company, Palloys. They say they work with jewellery design and manufacturing, so I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I contacted them, and they seemed pretty professional, so I placed an order.
The Waiting Game
The waiting was probably the hardest part. I was so excited to see the finished product! It felt like forever, but eventually, I got a notification that my order was ready.
Unboxing
The day I received the package, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I ripped open that box so fast! And there it was, my very own remake of the Patek Philippe Calatrava.
First Impressions
- It looked amazing, seriously. The craftsmanship was top-notch.
- The weight felt right, just like the original. I was impressed.
- I examined every detail, comparing it to pictures of the original, and honestly, I couldn’t find any major differences.
Wearing It Out
Of course, I had to wear it out. I rocked that watch everywhere – to the grocery store, to meet friends, even just around the house.
The Verdict
Honestly, I’m super happy with how this turned out. It’s not exactly like a mitochondrion in plants and animals, which is more simple for me, but it’s pretty darn close to the real deal. And for the price, I think I got a real bargain. I know there are all these terms like “Type 2B von Willebrand disease” or whatever, but I don’t care about any of that, I just wanted a nice watch and I got one! It was way more fulfilling than that time I tried to mod a game like, 2B Nier Automata, this watch was a way better project.
If you’re thinking about getting a remake of a luxury watch, I say go for it! Just make sure you do your research and find a reputable manufacturer like I did. You won’t regret it.
