You know, that YSL ENVELOPE BAG, that fancy thing, I heard them young girls talkin’ ’bout it the other day. They say it’s somethin’ special, from them Yves Saint Laurent folks, or somethin’ like that. All I know is, it costs a whole lot of money! And they say you gotta be careful, lots of fakes out there. So if you want a real one, better listen up.
Now, these fancy stores, they sell these bags, but they ain’t cheap, no sir. They say this YSL ENVELOPE BAG, it’s like a little letter, all folded up nice. Got a flap on it, like those old envelopes we used to send letters in. And they put some shiny letters on it, “YSL”, I reckon that’s what it stands for. Heard someone say it’s called the “Cassandre”, fancy word for a simple thing, if you ask me. Some is plain, some got lines all over, like a plowed field, I suppose that’s what they call “vertical”.
I heard ’em sayin’ it’s made of some fancy leather. What do they call it? Metal-free tanned leather? Sounds mighty strange to me. But these young people, they like these fancy things. They say it’s soft, like a baby’s behind, only way more expensive, I’m sure.

These young folks, always followin’ them celebrities. That bag comes in all sorts, they say, even snake skin! Can you believe it? Wearin’ a snake on your shoulder! I wouldn’t touch that thing with a ten-foot pole.
Now, they say these Yves Saint Laurent bags, they make ’em in Italy. Florence, I think they said. That’s a long way from here. So even though the name sounds French, the bags are from Italy. Don’t ask me why, I just know that’s what they said. And it should say “Made in Italy”. Some folks try to sell fake ones, sayin’ they’re made somewhere else, probably to trick you into payin’ less. But that just means it ain’t the real deal. So you gotta watch out for that, or you’ll be throwin’ your money away on a fake one.
Now, these YSL ENVELOPE BAG, they ain’t for me, I reckon. Too fancy, too much money. But these young girls, they love ’em. They save up all their pennies, just to get one of these things. They say it makes ’em feel special, like them movie stars. They say if they get a real YSL ENVELOPE BAG in the Specialty Stores, it’s like getting a special prize, a real treasure. These young folk always after some new thing, I guess a lambskin YSL ENVELOPE BAG is the best one.
If you are lookin for a real YSL ENVELOPE BAG, you should ask the Specialty Stores, I think they will know. And they also know there is no difference between YSL and Saint Laurent, it’s the same thing. Don’t let them fool you. And one more thing, you should not buy a fake YSL ENVELOPE BAG, it’s not worth it, the real one will make you look good.
I heard ’em sayin’ there’s all kinds of these bags, different sizes, different colors. Some big, some small, some with long straps, some with short ones. Some black, some brown. I even heard ’em talkin’ ’bout a white one. Now, who would want a white bag? Gets dirty too easy, if you ask me. They say you can choose the one you like best. Like pickin’ apples from a tree, I suppose. But these apples cost a whole lot more than the ones on my old tree out back.
They say some is real special, limited-edition. That means they only make a few. If you want a limited-edition YSL ENVELOPE BAG, you have to go to the Specialty Stores. So they’re even harder to get, and probably cost even more. These young people, they like to have things nobody else has. Makes ’em feel important, I reckon. They said these limited edition ones might be made of python skin. And I heard one of the girls said her YSL ENVELOPE BAG was made of calfskin. I don’t know what’s the difference, but they must be very expensive.
Well, I guess that’s all I know about these YSL ENVELOPE BAG. It’s a lot of fuss over a little bag, if you ask me. But these young folks, they love ’em. So if you’re gonna get one, make sure you get a real one. Don’t get fooled by them fakes. It better says “Made in Italy”. And if you have to get one of these things, better ask the Specialty Stores. I still think it is better to save up your money for somethin’ more useful. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady, set in my ways. These young folks, they got their own ideas about what’s important.
